Welcome to Daili! These terms keep things fair and clear between you and us. Daili is free to use. An optional paid subscription, Daili Plus, adds extra AI helpers (section 6). We have tried to keep these terms as plain as the app itself.

1. Who we are

Daili is operated by Ammar Khatib, Kajetan-Sweth-Straße 8, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria — see the Impressum. Questions any time: support@daili.app.

2. What Daili is

Daili is a private family organizer: a shared calendar, shopping and to-do lists, recipes and meal plans, birthdays, and family member management. Daili is available as an app for iPhone and Android and as a web app at app.daili.app; photos and documents are a phone-only feature. Features may be added, changed or removed as the app evolves. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy — it is part of the picture, but a separate document.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Daili. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and give us accurate information. Accounts for children are created and managed by a parent or guardian — either as a managed profile without a login or via a personal invitation. You are responsible for what happens through your account.

4. Your family's content

Everything your family puts into Daili stays yours. You give us only the technical permission we need to store that content and show it to the members of your family — nothing more. We never sell it, never show ads against it, and nobody outside your family can see it. Family admins can manage the family's members and content; the family owner can delete the whole family.

5. Fair use

Please use Daili only for its purpose — organizing your own family — and only in lawful ways. Do not try to break into other accounts, disrupt the service, overload our servers, or use Daili to store or share unlawful content. If an account seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, we may suspend or close it; where reasonable, we will warn you first.

6. Daili Plus (optional subscription)

What it is. Daili Plus is an optional subscription for a family. It gives the family a larger monthly number of AI actions — for example filling in events from a photo, turning a photo or a YouTube video into a recipe, dinner ideas for your week, and making events, to-dos or shopping items from a note — and 5 GB of Daili cloud storage for the family's note pictures, drawings and recordings. Everything else in Daili stays free. The app shows which features use AI actions and how many your family has each month (Settings → Daili Plus).

Who gets it. You buy Daili Plus in the Daili app, through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Plus belongs to the family that is open in the app when you buy it, and every member of that family can use it. One subscription covers one family. If you leave that family, Plus stays with it until the paid period ends; when the subscription renews, it moves to your main family in Daili.

Price and renewal. Daili Plus is billed once a year. The app shows the price in your currency before you buy; it includes VAT where VAT applies. The subscription renews automatically every year until you cancel it. Apple or Google take the payment under their own terms. We never see your payment details.

Cancelling and refunds. You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of the App Store or Google Play. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. After you cancel, Plus stays on until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the Daili app or your Daili account does not cancel the subscription — please cancel it in the store. Refunds, and your rights as a consumer such as a right of withdrawal, are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. When Plus ends, nothing is deleted: files already in Daili cloud stay readable and can be downloaded, but new files can only be added to Daili cloud again while Plus is on.

AI actions and fair use. AI actions are counted per family and per calendar month, and start again on the 1st of each month (UTC). Unused actions do not carry over to the next month. The AI features use an outside AI service, as described in the Privacy Policy. AI answers can be wrong — please check them, for example dates read from a letter, before you rely on them.

Changes to Daili Plus. We may change the price for future subscription periods. Apple or Google will tell you before a new price applies and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent; you can cancel before then. We may also add, change or replace AI features, or change the monthly number of AI actions, for good reasons such as changes in the AI service or its costs. If a change affects you more than slightly during a period you have paid for, we will tell you in good time, and you can end the subscription free of charge within 30 days of the change; you then get back the part of the price for the paid time that is left.

Founders. Families created in Daili before our Founder program closed on 1 October 2026 have Daili Plus free of charge, with a fair-use limit shown in the app. This is our thank-you to our first families; they do not need a subscription.

7. Availability

We run Daili with care, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. Sometimes we take the service briefly offline for maintenance — the app will tell you when that happens. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinued Daili entirely, we would announce it in good time so you can export your data (Settings → Profile → Download my data).

8. Liability

The free features of Daili are provided free of charge. For Daili Plus, the statutory warranty rights for digital services apply. To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and — in case of slight negligence — only for personal injury. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected. Please keep your own backups of information that is important to you.

9. Ending things

You can stop using Daili and delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Profile → Delete account). Deletion follows the 30-day grace period described in the Privacy Policy. If you have Daili Plus, please cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first — deleting your account does not cancel it.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update this page, change the date at the top, and point it out in the app or by e-mail. If you keep using Daili after a change takes effect, that means you accept the new version.

11. Law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Sales Convention. If you live in another country of the EU, the mandatory consumer protections of your home country remain yours.

12. Language

These terms are written in English and German. Translations into other languages are provided for convenience; if they differ, the English version applies.
